NDIS skills development and training refers to support funded through your NDIS plan to help you build everyday life skills. This includes learning how to cook, manage your money, travel safely, communicate effectively, and live more independently. It’s about practical learning that builds confidence and long-term independence.
If you have an approved NDIS plan and your goals include building independence, self-care, or confidence, you may be eligible for NDIS life skills support. This is often included under Capacity Building – Daily Living. If you’re unsure, we can review your plan with you or assist with making changes.
Our NDIS development life skills programs cover a range of areas—like time management, communication, budgeting, personal hygiene, home care, cooking, using public transport, and getting involved in your community. Each skill is taught in a way that’s simple, practical, and tailored to your comfort.
We offer both one-on-one and small group sessions, depending on your preference. Some participants benefit more from personal attention, while others enjoy learning in a social environment. Our team will help you choose what’s best for your goals.
If your plan already includes skills development and training NDIS, we can start right away. If not, we’ll help you request the right funding category, prepare the documentation, and walk you through the application process with the NDIA.
