What Is High Intensity Support?

High-intensity support, complex care, are services designed for participants with complex health needs, and result in an advanced level of skills and medical knowledge.
Complex personal care, or complex clinical care, are well suited to high intensity supports, and includes:
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Complex bowel care – PEG (enteral) feeding
  • Ventilation management
  • Catheter care
  • Wound care management
  • Seizure management and medication administration
